Estevao Set to Make Premier League Debut as Chelsea Unleash Rising Star Against West Ham

Chelsea managed only a stalemate in their Premier League season opener but have a chance to bounce back when they face West Ham United on Friday evening.
The Blues were held to a scoreless draw against Crystal Palace, which already puts them behind competitors Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, though Enzo Maresca's squad enters as clear favorites against West Ham. The Hammers suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to newly-promoted Sunderland in their first match and have struggled to impress under ex-Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
Maresca is expected to keep most of the starting eleven that drew with Palace, though some adjustments are possible considering the depth and talent available in his roster.
Here's how Chelsea might set up at the London Stadium.
Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs. West Ham (4-2-3-1)

GK: Robert Sánchez—Sánchez was lucky that Eberechi Eze's free kick was disallowed last weekend after being beaten somewhat easily. The Spanish keeper has yet to fully establish himself as the reliable option.
RB: Reece James—James sailed close to the wind against Palace following an early booking but should feature again at West Ham despite Chelsea's cautious approach to managing his playing time.
CB: Josh Acheampong—Tosin Adarabioyo was absent last Sunday due to a minor injury, while Levi Colwill and Benoît Badiashile remain unavailable. Acheampong was an unexpected choice at center back but performed well against Jean-Philippe Mateta.
CB: Trevoh Chalobah—Chalobah must be prepared for the different challenges presented by Niclas Füllkrug and Jarrod Bowen on Friday, with the 26-year-old likely to mentor Acheampong throughout the match.
LB: Marc Cucurella—The Spanish defender excelled with his forward runs last season and seems to have maintained that momentum. He registered two attempts against Palace and made three touches in their box.
DM: Moisés Caicedo—Though omitted from the recently revealed 2025 PFA Team of the Year, Caicedo was certainly among the Premier League's top performers last campaign. He provides remarkable stability in the defensive midfield role.
DM: Enzo Fernández—Fernández maintained his impressive attacking displays at the FIFA Club World Cup, having developed a strong understanding with Caicedo in midfield. Despite a subdued showing against Palace, he should play a key role at West Ham.
RW: Pedro Neto—Neto also shone at the Club World Cup, netting three goals during the tournament run. He showed promise against Palace but occasionally lacks the final touch needed to take his performance to the next tier.
AM: Cole Palmer—Palmer worked hard in Chelsea's season opener but it was a typical story for the English playmaker in Premier League action. He has yet to consistently recapture his best form over sustained periods despite his Club World Cup brilliance.
LW: Estêvão—The summer addition showed energy last weekend after coming on for fellow newcomer Jamie Gittens. He displayed confidence on the ball and may have earned a starting spot at the London Stadium.
ST: João Pedro—Following his instant impact in the United States during summer and two additional goals in preseason, anticipation is sky-high for João Pedro. He has already surpassed Liam Delap in the striker hierarchy.
