Finn Jeltsch may not yet be a recognizable name beyond Germany's borders—but that looks set to change in the near future.
The Stuttgart youngster is generating considerable transfer buzz as he continues to flourish in his home country, with a lengthy list of admirers already linked with potential moves for his much-sought-after services.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Barcelona and Inter Milan were among the clubs who sent scouts to watch Jeltsch during Stuttgart's 3–1 Champions League victory over Viking FK prior to the international break. Unsurprisingly, "several top Premier League clubs" are also reported to hold strong interest.
But who exactly is the young talent capturing the attention of Europe's elite?
An Astonishing Ascent

Jeltsch has only been featuring at Stuttgart's MHPArena for 18 months. Before making the move to Die Schwaben in February 2025, the emerging center back was gaining valuable experience in Germany's second tier with Nürnberg.
Having joined the club at age 9, Jeltsch skippered their Under-17s and Under-19s before stepping up to the senior side. He made an immediate impression and ultimately accumulated 33 appearances before Stuttgart snapped him up for a modest fee of just €9.5 million.
Despite the jump to the Bundesliga, Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeneß wasted no time throwing Jeltsch straight into his starting eleven. He made 12 league appearances before the season ended and even earned a brief substitute role in the DFB Pokal final triumph over Arminia Bielefeld.
As anticipated, Jeltsch's first complete season with Stuttgart brought greater first-team involvement. He started exactly half of the club's Bundesliga fixtures and played a notable role in the Europa League campaign, steadily sharpening his abilities with every game.
The young defender has started all four of VfB's Bundesliga matches so far this season, with his remarkably impressive rise even earning him a call-up to Jürgen Klopp's admittedly expansive Germany squad during the ongoing international break.
Why Do Clubs Want to Sign Jeltsch?

"I would describe myself as an aggressive defender, brave and also attack-minded," Jeltsch said upon receiving his senior Germany call-up.
That self-assessment is well-founded, with Jeltsch having turned heads through his physicality and tenacity without the ball. He ranked joint-top among Stuttgart players for blocks per 90 last season in the Bundesliga, while only three teammates averaged more defensive actions overall.
Jeltsch's ability to win duels, both on the ground and in the air, allows him to operate effectively in aggressive high defensive lines—something that will appeal greatly to Barcelona boss Hansi Flick. Such qualities are also a necessity under Hoeneß's system.
"For two or three years we've needed defenders who can win possession back and make tackles. Finn Jeltsch was the ideal player for this," the center back's former Germany youth coach Christian Wück previously confirmed.
Yet there is much to admire about Jeltsch in possession too. The right-footed, 6'2" prospect is adept at distributing the ball both laterally and forward, with only Angelo Stiller averaging more accurate passes per 90 in the Bundesliga for Stuttgart so far this campaign.
Who does Jeltsch look to as an inspiration for his own style of play? Manchester United's Matthijs de Ligt.
"He is a player I always watch," Jeltsch revealed. "I always try to take one or two things from his game. His physicality and the way he defends is something I really admire."
How Much Could Jeltsch Cost?

Should Barcelona, Inter or any number of unnamed Premier League sides wish to acquire Jeltsch, they will need to dig deep into their finances.
Stuttgart will be reluctant to part with one of their most prized assets and are highly unlikely to approve a departure during the current campaign, particularly given their involvement in the Champions League once more.
However, the club will be pragmatic about Jeltsch's long-term trajectory, which appears destined to lead him to one of Europe's top clubs.
At present, no specific asking price has been set for the defender. Transfermarkt values him at $39.4 million, though Stuttgart would be expected to demand considerably more for such a thrilling prospect.
Given that 19-year-old defender Luka Vušković, who impressed in the Bundesliga with Hamburg last season, was sold to Brighton & Hove Albion for $61 million over the summer, Stuttgart may anticipate a comparable fee for Jeltsch when the moment to sell eventually arrives.
