A switch to Real Madrid had long seemed like a foregone conclusion for Konaté, but speculation surrounding the Bernabéu has noticeably weighed on his performances in a Liverpool shirt this season. Ironically, his dip in form has led Los Blancos to cool their interest in a deal.
