Flick Drops Major Hint: Three Barcelona Stars Set for Stunning Return After International Break

Barcelona's injury woes may see substantial relief following the international break, as Hansi Flick anticipates that Pedri, Raphinha and Joan García will return to action for the team's upcoming fixture.

Flick's Barcelona managed to overcome a turbulent opening period to secure a 4–2 victory over Celta Vigo, reducing their deficit to league leaders Real Madrid to merely three points. This marks the first occasion since September that Barcelona has claimed back-to-back league victories, as fitness concerns have undermined the strength of Flick's squad.

However, after the triumph at Balaídos, the German coach expressed confidence about his trio of key players returning when Barcelona welcome Athletic Club following the November international window.

"I believe Pedri will return, Rapha [Raphinha] will return, Joan [García], possibly as well, so we shall see. We will handle it," Flick stated.

Both Raphinha and Joan García have been unavailable since the Sept. 25 victory over Real Oviedo. Pedri's most recent outing came in the disappointing El Clásico loss on Oct. 26.

Getting injured stars back will be vital for Barcelona's fortunes, as demonstrated against Celta Vigo. Making his first start in more than a month, Robert Lewandowski netted a treble to lead Barça to triumph.

Flick: I See a Different Robert Lewandowski

The 37-year-old Polish forward appeared to rediscover his clinical form against Celta Vigo, netting a hat-trick to bring his league total to seven goals this season—leading all Barcelona players.

After the game, Flick was questioned about Lewandowski's future, but the German chose not to speculate ahead and instead commended what the experienced player has demonstrated since his injury comeback.

"This is premature [to discuss Lewandowski's future]," Flick commented. "Everyone understands this situation.

"Following the injury, I observe a transformed Robert Lewandowski. He's genuinely upbeat and he returned much earlier [than expected]. For him as well, for his self-belief it's truly excellent to net three goals today. And naturally, crucial for us."

With Lewandowski spearheading the attack, Barcelona secured an away win at Celta for just the third time in the past ten years.

If the Polish striker can rediscover his early 2024–25 form and Barcelona receive reinforcements from key players recovering from injuries shortly, then recent discussions about Barcelona being in turmoil could swiftly become history.
