Barcelona's most recent triumph was a milestone moment for head coach Hansi Flick, as he celebrated his 100th victory at the helm of the club.
Bouncing back from the bitter sting of their Clásico loss, Barça made easy work of Alavés on Saturday, cruising to a 6–1 victory at Camp Nou.
The commanding win keeps La Blaugrana firmly at the summit of the La Liga standings, with both Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid hot on their heels.
The occasion also marked a historic milestone for Flick, who reached his century of wins faster than the legendary Pep Guardiola managed. However, Barcelona's current boss still falls short of the all-time record.
Flick the Centurion

Since the club's establishment in 1899, only eight managers have reached the 100-win mark at Barcelona.
Flick now stands as the second fastest to accomplish the feat, with Saturday's win over Alavés coming in just his 131st match at the helm. He has also endured 21 losses and 10 draws during that stretch.
Flick reached the milestone eight games sooner than Guardiola, who laid the groundwork for the club's modern era of success but required 139 matches to reach 100 victories.
The only manager to achieve the milestone faster than the German is Luis Enrique. The current Paris Saint-Germain boss needed just 126 matches to reach his century. The 56-year-old claimed a treble in his debut season at Barça in 2014–15, and went on to win La Liga the following year, two additional Copa del Rey titles, and one Club World Cup.

Flick's Legacy As a Modern Great Missing One Thing

Having reached the 100-win mark, Flick's record does the talking. The former Bayern Munich manager boasts the highest win percentage in Barcelona's history, currently sitting at 76.34% across 131 matches.
The German claimed La Liga in both of his seasons at the club, along with one Copa del Rey, and became the first Barça manager to beat Real Madrid four times in a single season back in 2024–25. He kicked off this campaign with a record-equaling run of 10 consecutive wins, and if he secures yet another league title this season, it would mark the first time any side in La Liga has won three consecutive championships since the Guardiola era.
The one glaring absence from the Barcelona chapter of his managerial career is a European crown. Flick, who lifted the Champions League trophy with Bayern, has yet to guide La Blaugrana past the semifinal stage.
After two seasons of falling agonizingly short in the latter rounds of the competition, the pressure is mounting on Flick to finally deliver the trophy this season — which would be the club's first since Luis Enrique claimed it back in 2015.
Should he pull it off, his claim to be counted among Barcelona's all-time great managers will be considerably more compelling.
