FPL Gameweek 12 Gold Rush: Top Players Set to Deliver Maximum Points

FPL Gameweek 12 Gold Rush: Top Players Set to Deliver Maximum Points

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) enthusiasts have enjoyed some well-deserved mental respite during November's international hiatus, but the anxiety-provoking hunt for points resumes this weekend.

With international matches suspended until March, managers must remain vigilant continuously over the coming months, during which AFCON departures and January transfers need consideration.

Currently, though, focus centers on Gameweek 12, featuring several marquee matchups to analyze. Regrettably, international break injuries have complicated matters further for FPL enthusiasts.

Below are the top FPL selections for GW12.

Goalkeepers

David Raya celebrating.

Indeed, Arsenal confront the league's finest away team in Sunday's north London derby, yet David Raya (£5.9m) remains a shrewd choice between the posts. Tottenham have excelled on their travels this campaign, but Arsenal's resilient defense will back themselves against the unpredictable Spurs. Raya has secured seven clean sheets from 11 appearances—that record speaks for itself.

Robin Roefs (£4.7m) has emerged as one of summer's standout acquisitions, delivering tremendous value for soaring Sunderland. The Black Cats visit Fulham this weekend with the Dutch keeper entering as FPL's highest-scoring goalkeeper. Only four teams have netted fewer goals than the Cottagers this season.

Aston Villa enter a promising fixture sequence, making Emiliano Martínez (£5.0m) an attractive proposition. He earned 14 points previously after stopping a penalty in the 4-0 triumph over Bournemouth and could deliver another impressive return against Leeds United (A) on Sunday.

Defenders

Marc Cucurella

Gabriel's extended absence will liberate budget in most FPL squads and Marc Cucurella (£6.1m) could be the defensive target to pursue. The Chelsea wing-back visits Burnley in Saturday's early kickoff having registered six or more points in four of his previous five outings. He's also his team's third-most productive creator in the Premier League this term.

Arsenal defenders maintain their appeal in defense, with Jurriën Timber (£6.2m) and William Saliba (£6.0m) representing solid alternatives to their Brazilian colleague.

Crystal Palace meet winless Wolverhampton Wanderers (A) on Saturday, hoping to inflict defeat on new manager and former player Rob Edwards in his debut. Daniel Muñoz (£5.8m) stands out for his offensive and defensive contributions, while Chris Richards (£4.5m) offers budget access to their backline.

Liverpool assets carry risk given their recent struggles, but a favorable fixture run presents scoring opportunities. Virgil van Dijk (£5.9m) offers excellent value with his two-way threat against Nottingham Forest (H).

Bournemouth suffered heavily against Villa before the break, but Marcos Senesi (£5.0m) represents outstanding value against West Ham United (H) this weekend, with only five defenders accumulating more than his 58 points.

Midfielders

Bukayo Saka

Despite Spurs' strong away form, Arsenal assets merit consideration. Offensively, Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) leads their attacking threat. He's found the net in four of his last six club and international appearances, including the equalizer in Arsenal's recent Sunderland stalemate. He boasts six goal contributions across ten encounters with Spurs.

Bryan Mbeumo (£8.5m) ranks among the Premier League's hottest performers, delivering six or more points in four of his previous five matches. Manchester United have claimed their last four home victories and appear well-positioned for another success against Everton (H) on Monday.

Newcastle United (A) will provide tough resistance for Manchester City, but Jérémy Doku (£6.5) could prove an inspired selection. He accumulated 11 points in a brilliant display against Liverpool last time and contributed three goals/assists during Belgium's international fixtures.

Away at Wolves, Palace's Ismaïla Sarr (£6.7m) could generate substantial returns, while Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández (£6.7m) merits consideration at Burnley. The Argentine sat out international duty so should arrive fresh for the Turf Moor encounter.

Brighton & Hove Albion's Yankuba Minteh (£6.0m) could provide another excellent differential against Brentford (H). He's registered four goals and assists this campaign while creating more significant and regular opportunities than any teammate.

Forwards

Erling Haaland

Select Erling Haaland (£14.9m), make him captain and simply observe the points accumulate. Even against a spirited Newcastle side, the Norwegian will likely deliver another haul as his seasonal tally reached 32 goals for club and country during the international window.

For identical reasons as Palace's other assets, Jean-Philippe Mateta (£8.1m) warrants investment against the Premier League's most porous defense. He's registered two goals and one assist across his last four outings, including a strike for France during international duty.

João Pedro (£7.5m) has shown inconsistency recently, but 16 points from his last two games indicate he's finding form again. He could reward his supporters at Turf Moor, though Chelsea players face rotation risk with Barcelona and Arsenal approaching over the next week.

Igor Thiago (£6.3m) delivered two goals and 13 points against Newcastle before the international pause. He's positioned to trouble Brighton (A) this Saturday while freeing up budget for other areas.

When Is the FPL Gameweek 12 Deadline?
