A French court has thrown out Kylian Mbappé's lawsuit against his former club Paris Saint-Germain, in which he alleged "psychological harassment."
Mbappé became the world's second-costliest footballer when he joined the Qatar Sports Investments (QSI)-owned Ligue 1 giants in a €180 million ($202 million) transfer in 2017. He went on to etch his name into the club's history books as their all-time top scorer, netting 256 goals across 308 outings.
Despite his prolific contributions, Mbappé was part of multiple PSG squads that fell short of the club's holy grail — the Champions League title. A Neymar-inspired team under Thomas Tuchel made it to the 2020 final, only to be beaten by Bayern Munich on the night.
PSG's consecutive European triumphs came only after Mbappé had departed for Real Madrid in 2024. The dynamic French attacker has since won two Golden Boot awards with the La Liga heavyweights, though major trophies have remained out of reach for Los Blancos under his leadership.
Even as Mbappé settled into life in the Spanish capital and continued to rack up goals, he remained locked in a bitter dispute with his former club — until now.
What Was Kylian Mbappé's Complaint Against PSG?

Mbappé had been pursuing financial damages from PSG, arguing that the tactics the club employed to keep him tied down as his contract neared its expiry were unlawful.
He alleged that the club threatened to banish him to the reserve squad — as occurred during the summer of 2023 — in an effort to pressure him into a decision. The player later withdrew this specific allegation, and while the probe pressed on, courts ultimately dismissed the case due to insufficient evidence, per L'Equipe.
With Mbappé having retracted his complaint, magistrates concluded the case was "impossible to investigate."
"There would be no point in questioning the witnesses and those implicated" when "the complainant himself does not support them," a source told L'Equipe.
Mbappé's Successful Compensation Plea

While Mbappé came up short in this particular legal fight, the 27-year-old did secure a notable win in a separate dispute over unpaid wages, bonuses, and holiday pay.
His legal pursuit, which got underway in May 2025, yielded €61 million ($68.6 million) in his favor following a Labor court ruling last December. PSG chose not to appeal, meaning their record scorer will receive the full compensation.
With the harassment case now concluded, Mbappé's legal war with his former club appears to have finally come to an end.
