Guardiola Drops Hilarious Four-Word Arsenal Bombshell Before High-Stakes West Ham Showdown

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wrapped up Saturday's press conference with a rallying cry for West Ham United before their clash with Premier League table-toppers Arsenal on Sunday.

A stumble against Everton has left City once again in pursuit of Mikel Arteta's squad at the summit. The Cityzens defeated Brentford to trim the deficit to two points, having played the same number of matches as their rivals, who return to action Sunday away at West Ham.

In need of a helping hand from the relegation-threatened Hammers, Guardiola made his allegiances clear with an uproarious exit from his post-match press conference.

"Come on you Irons!" Guardiola shouted as he crossed his arms above his head to replicate the iconic gesture of West Ham supporters.

While an Arsenal loss would be City's ideal outcome, a draw would be sufficient to put the title destiny back in Guardiola's grasp, with the two clubs' goal difference separated by just one—Arsenal's 41 giving them a slim advantage over City's 40.

City will draw level with Arsenal in games played on Wednesday when Crystal Palace come to the Etihad, where piling on the goals will remain a priority, as that could prove the decisive factor should the two sides finish the season equal on points.

Guardiola: Fierce Title Race 'a Joy'

City have taken their supporters on an emotional rollercoaster this season. A shaky start to the campaign and another dip at the beginning of 2026 had many convinced they would not be contenders for the title this year.

In April, though, following a 2–1 victory over Arsenal, Guardiola's men were widely regarded as favorites to go on and claim the trophy, only for a 3–3 collapse against Everton to leave them in pursuit with just three fixtures remaining.

"I love it," Guardiola said of the turbulence. "I love to be here again. Finish second again minimum so I love it.

"I didn't enjoy last season, it was difficult, but the Carabao [Cup] is in our pocket, the FA Cup final at Wembley is the most beautiful day of the season and I love it.

"When you arrive and have the feeling that the job can be done, well done. When you arrive fighting against Arsenal, having made many changes, seeing how they support each other in every training session, it is a joy.

"It's not in our hands but all we can do is win again."
