Haaland Delivers Savage Response After Bizarre Mishap, Takes Aim at Premier League Foe

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland needed three stitches on his lip following an unfortunate encounter with the Norway national team bus door, and he used the mishap as a chance to playfully mock one of his international colleagues.

Haaland found the net in Norway's 1–0 victory against Finland, extending his impressive international tally to 42 goals across 43 appearances, before heading back to his native country ahead of Tuesday's World Cup qualifying match versus Moldova.

Upon exiting the team coach, Haaland was hit in the face by the luggage compartment door, and he shared details of the injury through his social media channels.

"Just got smacked by a bus door. 3 stitches," Haaland joked on Snapchat.

Haaland frequently shares content on the social platform and consistently engages in playful banter with his audience, some of whom doubted whether a bus door was actually responsible for the injury.

When followers inquired about who had supposedly hit him, Haaland sparked amusing reactions from his supporters by requesting "wrong answers only".

A follower proposed Arsenal playmaker and Norway skipper Martin Ødegaard as the perpetrator, and Haaland eagerly seized the opportunity to playfully tease his longtime international partner.

"Correct," the City forward replied.

Norway currently lead their World Cup qualifying group with a perfect record of four victories from four matches, and they are anticipated to maintain their flawless streak against a Moldova team that has yet to secure their opening point.

Haaland scored in a commanding 5–0 triumph over Moldova in March and enters Tuesday's encounter in outstanding form, having registered four goals across four appearances for both club and country this campaign.
