Harry Kane has given Tottenham Hotspur fans reason to cheer by tipping Paris Saint-Germain to defeat Arsenal in the Champions League final later this month.
Kane was just nine years old when Arsenal let him go for being "a bit chubby," only for him to join Spurs at age 11 and develop into one of the finest players of his era.
The England captain departed Spurs for Bayern Munich in 2023 in search of silverware and narrowly missed out on reaching this season's Champions League final. Bayern were eliminated by PSG 6–4 on aggregate, and Kane now believes the Parisian side will claim the trophy.
"In my opinion, PSG are slight favorites in the final," he told German media.
While PSG are the reigning European champions, Arsenal are appearing in the final for the first time in two decades and have never gotten their hands on club soccer's most prestigious prize.
The storyline heading into the clash at Budapest's Puskás Arena on May 30 is attack versus defense.
PSG have netted 44 times in the Champions League so far in 2025–26, including five goals apiece in individual knockout ties against Chelsea and Bayern. Last season, their lethal attack produced a record-breaking 5–0 victory over Inter in the final.
Arsenal's biggest asset lies at the opposite end of the field. The Gunners have gone unbeaten across 14 European matches this season—the only side to come through the league phase without a loss—and have conceded a mere six goals in the competition.
History at Stake for Arsenal

Arsenal could wrap up this season with a Premier League and Champions League double, ending a 22-year wait for domestic glory in the process. Alternatively, they could end up empty-handed, or somewhere in between.
The Premier League title, which Arsenal last claimed in 2003–04, looks largely within reach — particularly after Manchester City dropped points in a surprise draw with Everton on Monday.
The Gunners hold a five-point lead, which City can only reduce to two via their game in hand, scheduled for the final midweek of the campaign. Much can still shift, but Arsenal control their own fate, and winning their last three fixtures against West Ham United, Burnley, and Crystal Palace would seal the title regardless of other results.
Claiming the Champions League would also be a landmark moment for the club, who were genuinely among Europe's elite in the early 2000s but never managed to go all the way. After slipping from that top tier, Arsenal have rebuilt and fought their way back.
Achieving the double would be no small accomplishment. Among English Champions League winners in the Premier League era, only Manchester United (1998–99, 2007–08) and Manchester City (2022–23) have lifted the European trophy in the same season they won the league.
The others—Liverpool (2004–05, 2018–19) and Chelsea (2011–12, 2020–21)—all fell short of winning the Premier League during their respective European triumphs.
