Igor Tudor Abandons Sinking Tottenham Amid Dismal Form and Relegation Crisis

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the exit of Igor Tudor following a miserable spell in charge that lasted only 44 days.

The Croatian manager was at the helm for just seven games, suffering five defeats and collecting a mere single Premier League point. A 3–2 win against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 second leg was insufficient to overcome the 5–2 aggregate deficit from the first match in Spain, though it provided a brief glimmer of hope heading into the final stretch of the Premier League season.

That optimism was quickly dampened by a grim 3–0 loss to relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest the previous weekend. Tudor received news of his father's death following the final whistle and was absent from post-match media duties. Spurs addressed this personal tragedy in a short statement issued on Sunday afternoon.

"We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect," it read. "Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.

"We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.

"An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course."

Tottenham currently sit 17th in the Premier League standings, just one point ahead of West Ham United in the drop zone with seven fixtures still to play this season.
