Inter Miami Shockingly Rejects Three Global Superstars Including Luka Modric

According to a fresh report, agents representing Luka Modrić, Kevin De Bruyne, and Neymar Jr. have all "reached out" to Inter Miami regarding possible summer transfers.
The controversial MLS club has established a pattern of signing high-profile players who previously starred in Europe's top leagues. Javier Mascherano's current squad is primarily centered around four former Barcelona stars: Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.
While securing contract extensions for their key players, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas has publicly expressed interest in bringing "another star player" to the team. BBC Sport's Guillem Balagué has made the shocking revelation that departing Real Madrid legend Modrić was proposed for this role by his representatives, who allegedly approached Inter Miami to explore a potential transfer after it became apparent he wouldn't continue in Madrid.
However, no agreement materialized, and AC Milan are now close to securing the free agent's signature following his participation in the Club World Cup with Madrid this summer.

Miami had strong connections to a De Bruyne transfer after obtaining the Belgian's MLS discovery rights in April, shortly following his announced exit from Manchester City. Despite the midfielder's clear interest in joining forces with Messi, no formal proposal was submitted. Chicago Fire actually came closer to bringing De Bruyne to the United States before his eventual move to Napoli.
Neymar presents another fascinating scenario. Talk of reuniting with Messi and Suárez had remained largely unsubstantiated until the injury-plagued Brazilian ultimately chose to extend his contract at childhood club Santos for an additional six months. Alongside his former Barcelona teammates, Neymar formed part of modern football's most devastating attacking combination. During their triumphant 2014–15 European treble campaign, the trio remarkably scored 122 goals combined.
Messi and his teammates have demonstrated sufficient attacking prowess this summer to advance from the Club World Cup group stage without defeat, earning a challenging round-of-16 matchup against current European champions Paris Saint-Germain. Nevertheless, despite posting the league's best regular season record last year, the team faces domestic challenges after securing victories in only eight of their 16 MLS matches.
