Inter Miami Stars Shine Bright in Crushing 4-1 Demolition of New England Revolution
Jordi Alba and Tadeo Allende each found the net twice on Saturday evening as Inter Miami ended their two-game winless streak with a commanding 4–1 victory over the New England Revolution at Chase Stadium.
Lionel Messi, despite remaining scoreless for his third consecutive match, contributed three assists throughout the game, reaching 40 total goal contributions this regular season and maintaining his MLS-leading position in this category.
Following a cautious opening, Allende broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute before Alba added his first strike of the night during the third minute of first-half stoppage time.
New England briefly intensified their efforts against Miami when Dor Turgeman found the back of the net to reduce the deficit to 2–1 in the 59th minute. However, the narrow gap was short-lived, as Allende struck immediately from the restart to restore the two-goal advantage at 3–1 within two minutes, before Alba completed his brace moments later to seal the comprehensive victory.
Meanwhile, substitute goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo stepped in as the starting keeper replacing Oscar Ustari for Javier Mascherano's team and recorded four saves, lifting Miami to 59 points from 32 games, securing third place in the Eastern Conference—with second position being their maximum achievable ranking.
Miami's upcoming fixture is set for the October FIFA international window on Oct. 11 against Atlanta United, where they may be missing Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul, Ian Fray and multiple other players.
Below are the individual player assessments from Saturday's triumph over the Revolution.
