Jadon Sancho Sets His Sights on Dream Move as Serie A Giants Circle

Manchester United's winger Jadon Sancho is giving preference to a potential transfer to Napoli during the upcoming summer window, despite receiving interest from Juventus, according to recent reports.

Sancho has made his way back to United following unsuccessful negotiations regarding personal terms with Chelsea, who subsequently paid £5 million ($6.7 million) to withdraw from their obligation to purchase the player permanently after his loan period this past season.

United remains eager to secure a permanent departure for Sancho this summer and are actively seeking potential buyers, with Napoli including the English player on their transfer wishlist alongside his teammate Alejandro Garnacho.

While Juventus has since shown interest in acquiring Sancho's services, reports from Sky Sports Italy suggest that the 25-year-old is favoring Napoli, as the Serie A title holders were the initial club to establish contact regarding a possible summer move.

Napoli's approach has reportedly centered on direct discussions with Sancho, whereas Juventus has reached out to United to understand the potential deal structure. The Red Devils are anticipated to seek approximately £25 million ($33.7 million)—matching Chelsea's previous purchase option.

Sancho represents a more affordable option compared to Garnacho, who was Napoli's primary January target after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's departure to Paris Saint-Germain. United's steep valuation blocked a winter transfer, but the Red Devils appear more willing to negotiate a sale this summer, though Garnacho would likely command double Sancho's price tag.

Notably, Sancho isn't the sole United player catching Napoli's attention, as recent reports indicate that Antonio Conte's team has also shown interest in striker Rasmus Højlund.

With the financial boost from Kvaratskhelia's January departure—initially €70 million (£59.9 million, $80.6 million)—Napoli possesses sufficient resources to satisfy United's valuation for both players should they decide to pursue Sancho and Højlund.

Other reports have mentioned Borussia Dortmund as possible candidates for Sancho's signature, though the German club has already publicly dismissed the possibility of reuniting with the winger.
