Jamie Gittens Expresses Pure Joy as Chelsea Move Becomes Official Reality

Chelsea have officially completed the acquisition of winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
An agreement for Gittens was finalized in the closing days of last month, with Dortmund announcing on Thursday that the talented winger was close to joining Chelsea. Reports suggest the Blues paid an upfront fee of £48.5 million ($66.2 million) plus additional bonuses worth £3.5 million ($4.8 million).
Even prior to the official announcement, Gittens was spotted on the field celebrating Chelsea's Club World Cup victory against Palmeiras alongside Enzo Maresca's team, wearing complete Chelsea attire.
As expected, Chelsea have now finalized Gittens's transfer.
"Chelsea is pleased to confirm the acquisition of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, with the winger signing a deal through 2032," the club announced in an official statement.
Following his transfer to Chelsea, Gittens commented: "It's an incredible feeling. Joining a prestigious club like Chelsea is truly amazing.
"I'm eager to absorb knowledge from all my teammates and give my absolute best here. This is a wonderful experience."
Gittens is presently in the United States alongside the Chelsea squad, having been involved in Borussia Dortmund's summer activities. Since he was registered with the German club, he cannot participate for Chelsea in the tournament's remaining matches.
Therefore, Gittens is anticipated to take a brief vacation before rejoining his new colleagues for pre-season preparations later this month.
