Jose Mourinho Launches Strategic Transfer Assault on Former Club Tottenham

Representatives from Fenerbahçe have traveled to London to conduct discussions with Tottenham Hotspur regarding midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to Turkish media reports.

Bissouma is now in his final year of his Tottenham contract, while Spurs have already strengthened their midfield by acquiring Mohammed Kudus and are pursuing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, though the latter deal faces complications due to allegations of improper conduct.

Given the uncertainty surrounding his position after former manager Ange Postecoglou's exit, Bissouma has become a target for Fenerbahçe, with Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reporting that discussions have taken place between both clubs.

Under the guidance of ex-Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, Fenerbahçe has been busy during the transfer period, securing striker Jhon Duran on loan from Al Nassr for the season and nearing completion of a deal for Genk defender Archie Brown.

Bissouma appears to be their next priority, as Mourinho seeks to assemble a team strong enough to challenge Galatasaray's dominance in the league.

The two never worked together at Tottenham, as Bissouma joined the club a year after Mourinho's dismissal in 2021.

Throughout his time at Spurs, Bissouma has featured in 100 matches across various competitions, establishing himself as an important player under Postecoglou before the manager's recent departure.

With Thomas Frank now taking charge at Tottenham, questions persist about Bissouma's future considering the limited time left on his current agreement.
