Lamine Yamal made sure not to let Jude Bellingham's pointed remark from earlier in the season go unanswered, having the final say in their personal rivalry after Barcelona beat Real Madrid in El Clásico to claim the La Liga title.
Back in October, Bellingham took a swipe at Yamal following Real Madrid's victory over Barcelona in the season's opening El Clásico. Yamal had made some eyebrow-raising comments ahead of the match at the Bernabéu, and after Los Blancos came out on top, Bellingham shared a celebratory Instagram post with the caption: "Talk is cheap."
Just over six months later, Barcelona delivered the decisive blow to Real Madrid's season with a 2–0 victory at Camp Nou on Sunday, securing consecutive league titles. The following day, as the Blaugrana's title parade was set to kick off, Yamal finally had his revenge, posting on Instagram with the words "Talk is cheap," paired with crying-face emojis.

Following October's fiery clash that sparked Bellingham's jab, the typically social media-active Yamal had largely stayed quiet online. The 18-year-old channeled his energy into performing on the field and, from that El Clásico loss onward, he helped guide Barcelona to 23 wins in their next 25 league outings to capture the title. Though injury kept him out of Barça's final three matches, his contribution to the title run was undeniable.
With the league trophy finally secured, however, Yamal couldn't resist returning to his social media ways — and this wasn't the first time the young star had taken aim at Bellingham in such fashion.
Yamal Fires Shot At Bellingham For Second-Straight Year

Exactly a year prior, Barcelona edged Real Madrid 4–3 in a match that effectively sealed the La Liga crown. After that game, Yamal also sent a thinly veiled dig in Bellingham's direction.
That 4–3 triumph came just days after Barcelona were knocked out by Inter Milan in the Champions League semifinals. Shortly after the elimination, Inter center back Alessandro Bastoni celebrated on social media, and Bellingham was notably quick to like the post.
Yamal netted a stunning goal in Barça's El Clásico victory on May 11, 2025, and afterward took to Instagram to write: "Don't forget to like this one too," an unmistakable reference to Bellingham liking Bastoni's post.
Barcelona and Yamal have now claimed five of the six available domestic trophies over the last two seasons, while also winning six of seven El Clásico encounters against Bellingham and Real Madrid during that stretch. Hansi Flick's side have firmly established themselves as the premier force in Spanish football, leaving Real Madrid with significant ground to make up heading into next season.
What remains clear, however, is that the Barcelona vs. Real Madrid rivalry has been reignited with plenty of hostility both on and off the pitch, and fans can expect more drama and verbal sparring between some of the world's biggest football stars when the new season arrives.
