LEAKED: Inter Miami Unveils Stunning New Jersey Design as Seven MLS Teams Drop 2026 Kit Reveals

Inter Miami will debut a fresh appearance in 2026 as they aim to retain their MLS Cup championship, with all MLS teams anticipated to unveil at least one new uniform, substituting either their home or away jerseys.

All produced by adidas, MLS teams frequently alternate their two primary uniforms every couple of years. Meanwhile, third jerseys can stay in circulation for an indefinite duration, and multiple MLS franchises are projected to debut new retro uniforms in 2026.

Most of the primary uniforms will be unveiled in January before the 2026 MLS campaign begins, though several have already surfaced through FootyHeadlines. Here's what we've learned from around the league.

Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire FC

The Chicago Fire have experienced multiple rebrands throughout their existence, and the 2026 uniform will honor their 2006 squad, featuring a contemporary take on that season's home jersey. The bottom left section of the uniform displays the renowned four stars from the Chicago flag, while the white curved half-stripe on the front recalls the era of the club's 2006 U.S. Open Cup triumph.

Columbus Crew

Columbus Crew will revive one of their celebrated designs, reintroducing the collar to their home yellow uniforms in 2026. The Crew maintain their distinctive identity with vibrant yellow and black accents, and the collar makes its first appearance since 2013. Previous seasons featuring a collared uniform include 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

D.C. United

D.C. United are maintaining their contemporary appearance in 2026, refreshing a previous black uniform with red accents. It's a predominantly straightforward design, except for the sleeve cuffs, which display the District's signature three stars and the club's name in red on the sleeves.

Inter Miami

Inter Miami won't implement significant modifications to their current away appearance, but will add a collar to the black uniform and eliminate the dual-tone black-and-grey design currently featured on their away strip. The Herons have previously used collared designs on their pink uniforms, but never on the black secondary. Beyond the new uniform, Miami are anticipated to retain the MLS Cup-winning dual-tone pink stripes and the third blue uniform.

The star positioned above the crest will also appear on both jerseys, representing the club's inaugural MLS Cup.

New York City FC

New York City FC are prepared to discontinue their black uniform with orange accents and substitute it with a navy blue foundation, featuring patterns across the front. It transitions the club's appearance to both the primary sky blue of the City Football Group and darker blue as witnessed in 2020 and 2021, seasons played primarily before limited audiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. The uniform will also incorporate the club's alternative crest.

Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake will preserve a classic, recognizable appearance entering 2026 with the claret and cobalt home uniform. However, it marks the first occasion in club history that the colors will be presented as hoops rather than the typical vertical stripes or, more recently, more elaborate designs.

The appearance resembles FC Barcelona's hooped 2015–16 uniform, making their April 22 encounter against Inter Miami even more compelling given the Lionel Messi connection.

San Jose Earthquakes

The 2026 MLS season will showcase a bold uniform design for the San Jose Earthquakes, if the leaks prove accurate. The design will feature their away uniform with a sky-blue foundation and a dark-blue tie-dye pattern across the front, which will also encompass the club crest. They are certainly not the first club to attempt such a design in recent years, as England's Leeds United did so in 2022–23 for their away uniform.
