Liverpool Forward Sparks Last-Minute Transfer Interest Following Champions League Exclusion

Liverpool's eventful summer transfer activity might continue beyond the closure of Europe's major league windows, as reports suggest Beşiktaş is exploring a potential move for Federico Chiesa.
The Merseyside club concluded a remarkable spending spree by acquiring Alexander Isak for a British record fee of £130 million ($175.5 million) on the final day of transfers, pushing their total summer expenditure close to the £450 million threshold.
Nevertheless, the reigning Premier League titleholders demonstrated shrewd business in player sales, with their ability to command strong market prices ensuring their net expenditure remained lower than Arsenal's for the window.
Liverpool may yet conduct another departure. Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that Chiesa has attracted interest from Beşiktaş. Turkey's transfer window remains open until September 12.
"I can also confirm that Beşiktaş have made contact regarding Federico Chiesa," Romano stated. "Besiktas over the past 24 to 48 hours attempted to reach out about Federico Chiesa to assess his situation at Liverpool."

"What I can confirm is that Liverpool will not permit Federico to leave on a temporary basis. Currently, discussions remain at an early stage," he continued.
Speculation about Chiesa's potential exit likely intensified following news of his exclusion from Liverpool's Champions League roster, with promising youngster Rio Ngumoha taking his spot instead.
Romano's latest information indicates the Turkish side hasn't made significant headway in negotiations with Liverpool concerning Chiesa, who has featured as a substitute in all three opening Premier League fixtures this season, scoring the decisive goal on the opening weekend after Bournemouth had equalized.
The Italian winger, previously considered among Europe's elite wide players before suffering a serious knee injury in January 2022, saw limited action under Arne Slot last campaign. However, summer reports consistently indicated Chiesa's desire to stay at Anfield.
Beşiktaş are reportedly pursuing Arsenal's Leandro Trossard ahead of their deadline, having already secured signings including Wilfred Ndidi, Tammy Abraham and Orkun Kökçü during this transfer period.
