Liverpool Slaps Price Tag on Andy Robertson as Tottenham Circle Star Left-Back
Liverpool are seeking a transfer fee of £5 million ($6.8 million) for left-back Andy Robertson's move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to recent reports.
Robertson has just six months remaining on his current deal and has recently acknowledged he will weigh up his future options before a possible summer exit, after losing his starting position to new arrival Milos Kerkez.
Tottenham were anticipated to be among the clubs pursuing Robertson when his contract expires, but reports on Friday suggest their pressing need for squad depth has accelerated their interest to the January window.
Negotiations between both clubs are believed to be advancing toward a deal, with the Daily Mail reporting Liverpool's £5 million asking price.
At nearly 32 years old with just six months left on his deal, Robertson's market value is limited at this stage of his career, making Liverpool willing to accept a reasonable fee for the well-regarded defender.

Though Robertson's exit isn't confirmed yet, his potential departure would leave Liverpool severely short in defensive positions. Arne Slot's backline is already stretched thin following significant injuries to both Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley.
Should Robertson leave, Joe Gomez would become Liverpool's main cover across centre-back, right-back and left-back positions—a precarious scenario given his history of fitness concerns throughout his career.
Liverpool seem prepared for Robertson's potential exit, though. Kostas Tsimikas moved to Roma on loan last summer but hasn't impressed in Serie A and is reportedly set for a January return to Anfield.
"I miss the city," Tsimikas recently shared with The Athletic.
"I spent five years there. I adore everything about Liverpool. The club holds a special place in my heart. The supporters are incredibly warm, among the most genuine I've encountered in football. They consistently backed the team, through highs and lows, always doing everything possible to lift you up.
"I want the best for this club, because from the very beginning, I gave my all there. I became the Greek Scouser and always will be, carrying that identity throughout my life."
