Liverpool Star Breaks Silence on What Players Really Think About Man City's 115 Charges Scandal

Liverpool's left-back Kostas Tsimikas reveals that he and his fellow players have never engaged in conversations about the Premier League allegations facing their competitors Manchester City.
City continues to wait for the outcome of proceedings that examined the allegations, numbering 115 in total, with potential sanctions being theoretically boundless if they are determined to have committed violations.
The allegations cover the timeframe from 2009, one year following the Abu Dhabi acquisition, through 2018, when Pep Guardiola secured his inaugural Premier League championship as head coach.
From 2018 onwards, City has maintained their stranglehold on English football, capturing five championships out of the past seven seasons—Liverpool came in as runners-up to the Citizens in 2018–19 and 2021–22. Theoretically, the allegations haven't directly cost Liverpool either of those championships, though they also placed second behind City in 2013–14.
While this matter has remained a subject of discussion among supporters since the allegations first emerged, Tsimikas states it's not a concern for him or his Liverpool colleagues.
"The squad has never talked about City and the allegations, I'm not even aware of their actions or what they're being accused of, it doesn't interest me," Tsimikas shared with Sport24 in his homeland of Greece.
"My only concern as an individual and as a professional footballer is starting each day with joy and ending it with satisfaction. I believe this represents the most crucial aspect a person can possess in life.
"To begin each morning, enter a positive environment, put in maximum effort, complete your practice sessions, and when departing daily, acknowledge that 'I committed everything I had, that I've improved from yesterday' and rest peacefully at night with the same contentment, leaving no regrets.
"This represents what matters most and this describes my experience during these five years [at Liverpool]. Simple to express, challenging to execute, you must treat yourself well. This is where I matured, at Liverpool I discovered my identity. In a competition of this caliber, you develop into a complete person."
