Liverpool Star Set to Bolt This Summer as Shocking Transfer Fee Emerges

Liverpool's young midfielder Tyler Morton is reportedly on the verge of securing a move to Lyon in a deal worth £15 million ($19.9 million) including potential bonuses.
The 22-year-old came up through Liverpool's youth system and has featured in 14 matches for the first team, alongside successful temporary stints in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.
Morton drew considerable attention during the previous summer transfer window, particularly from Bundesliga title holders Bayer Leverkusen at the time, but chose to stay at Anfield to contribute squad cover throughout Liverpool's championship-winning season. Nevertheless, he only managed five total appearances, with zero coming in Premier League action.
The Athletic indicates that the Reds are now prepared to sell their academy product, with Morton "waiting for club approval before heading to France for his medical examination".

Given that players such as Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai are positioned above him in the hierarchy, it's understandable that the defensive midfielder is seeking a move for increased playing opportunities.
Morton was included in the England Under-21 team that claimed victory in this summer's European Championship and will become another academy graduate alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jarell Quansah to leave Liverpool for European football.
Liverpool have invested nearly £300 million ($398.4 million) during this summer window and are looking to recover some funds through player departures. The recent sale of Luis Díaz for £65.5 million ($87 million) has assisted with financial balance, and the Reds are expected to continue reducing their roster before the transfer deadline on September 1.
