Liverpool players flooded social media with heartfelt tributes to Mohamed Salah following his announcement of his upcoming exit from Anfield.
Salah has chosen to forgo the final year of his Liverpool contract and will move on to a new chapter at the close of the season, having firmly cemented his place as one of the all-time greats in both club and Premier League history.
His moving farewell video drew a wave of responses from prominent figures connected to Liverpool, with numerous players sharing personal messages dedicated to Salah.
"You are the best of the best my brother," Ibrahima Konaté wrote. "Thank you for all the incredible moments we shared both on and off the pitch.
"I wish you nothing but the best in your next chapter inshallah. KING."
"King" was equally the word of choice for left back Milos Kerkez, who shared Salah's farewell video on his Instagram story.
Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai, meanwhile, both went with "Legend."
"It was a pleasure till now," added Florian Wirtz, looking back on his brief time playing alongside Salah this season.
Joe Gomez, who ranks ninth among players with the most appearances beside Salah at 203, shared his own touching tribute.
"One of the greatest to ever pull on this shirt," he posted. "It's been an honour witnessing your brilliance up close in so many ways. Everyone knows about your mindset and dedication—the statistics simply seal your legacy for good.
"Thank you for everything you've given us. I'll always cherish the friendship we've built over all these years. Can't wait to see you given the send-off you deserve until the very end."
Andy Robertson Steals the Show With Heartfelt Message
No player has shared the pitch with Salah more than Andy Robertson.
The left back tops the list with an impressive 338 appearances alongside the Egyptian, having arrived from Hull City just three weeks after Salah's move from Roma.
"Mohamed, thank you," he began.
"Nine of the best years of our lives filled with wonderful memories on and off the pitch. Watching you grow into the finest at what you do and become one of the greatest to ever wear the Liverpool shirt has been an absolute privilege to witness and be a part of.
"Your mentality is unmatched and something many could learn from. You have pushed yourself relentlessly every single day and always demanded more from yourself and those around you.
"It has been a privilege sharing the pitch with you for so long, but even more so being able to call you a true friend.
"You deserve a farewell that truly reflects your standing at LFC—the greatest. Absolutely second to none."
