Liverpool's 2026 Preseason Revealed: Tour Dates, Fixtures, Tickets & Where to Watch Every Match

Liverpool's 2025–26 campaign ultimately failed to live up to the high expectations set for it.

Having claimed the Premier League title the season prior and bolstered their squad with major summer signings — most notably Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz — spirits were high on Merseyside. Yet the Reds finished the season empty-handed, undone by a combination of injuries and a damaging dip in form.

Despite the disappointment, there remains considerable confidence that Arne Slot's squad can bounce back in his third year at the helm, with a productive preseason ahead of 2026–27 viewed as a vital opportunity to restore momentum and cohesion.

Here's a full breakdown of Liverpool's 2026 summer preseason plans, covering fixtures, tour details, broadcast information, ticket availability and the players to keep an eye on.

Liverpool 2026 Preseason: Key Players

Alexander Isak

Much of the spotlight during Liverpool's 2026 preseason will fall on club-record acquisition Alexander Isak.

Since joining from Newcastle United last summer, the Swedish forward has endured a frustrating start to life at Anfield. The drawn-out transfer process meant he missed a proper preseason, leaving him underprepared physically as the season got underway. His early performances suffered as a result, and a broken leg sustained in December brought his campaign to a premature halt. Isak didn't return to the pitch until April and has been working to rebuild his sharpness and form ever since.

With Liverpool having paid a club and Premier League-record fee of approximately $168 million, preseason is expected to be pivotal in getting him fully fit and primed to lead the attack in 2026–27.

Attention will also be directed toward whoever is brought in to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah's departure, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande currently considered one of the frontrunners. Any new arrival will need to integrate swiftly, grasp Arne Slot's tactical setup and hit the ground running.

Young talent Rio Ngumoha, who caught the eye during the final stretch of the 2025–26 season, is another name to watch. In spite of his youth, he will be looking to build on his breakthrough and cement himself as a credible first-team contender heading into the new season.

When Does the 2026–27 Season Start for Liverpool?

The 2026–27 Premier League season is due to get underway on Aug. 22, 2026, though the complete fixture schedule is yet to be published.

The full fixture list is expected to be announced on Friday, June 19.
