Man City Unveils Stunning 2025-26 Third Kit as New Signing Rayan Cherki Claims His Jersey Number

Manchester City have revealed their brand-new third strip for the 2025–26 campaign, drawing inspiration from the city's unpredictable climate, while also announcing that summer acquisition Rayan Cherki will switch shirt numbers.
Taking cues from Britain's changeable weather patterns, it's hardly surprising that City's latest jersey features a grey foundation, incorporating a delicate raindrop pattern woven throughout the fabric.
For visual impact, City's fresh design includes streaks of bright green, conceived as a nod to the "dynamic" style of play that Pep Guardiola's team delivers irrespective of climate or atmospheric conditions.
The centered PUMA logo and club emblem showcase a blend of green and blue tones, while City's crest also incorporates a see-through effect crafted to mirror the appearance of rain droplets on Manchester's windows.
Marco Mueller, PUMA's senior director of product line management teamsport apparel, commented: "Manchester's residents possess an ingrained passion for football, representing both civic pride and community connection. This jersey merges those elements to produce a genuinely distinctive strip that takes an unconventional approach.
"We chose to create a design that celebrates Manchester's wet climate while acknowledging how supporters remain loyal to their team through all conditions."
City director of retail and licensing Serena Gosling stated: "This marks a thrilling moment, launching this season's Third strip just before the 2025–26 Premier League campaign begins, with the Women's Super League commencing next month.
"During our design development, PUMA and the Club examine various creative approaches for each kit, drawing from Manchester's character, the Club's heritage and additional cultural elements. We eagerly anticipate watching our players sport these jerseys during matches this season."
Additionally, City have announced that summer recruit Cherki will adopt the club's No.10 jersey following Jack Grealish's loan departure to Everton, which left the number available.
Cherki previously wore number 29 during the Club World Cup after joining from Lyon but has decided to make the switch before the upcoming season begins.
