Man Utd Shockingly Agrees to Let Star Goalkeeper Andre Onana Walk Away

Manchester United have allegedly made significant progress toward moving their controversial keeper André Onana this summer following the establishment of a verbal deal with Turkish club Trabzonspor.
Onana's prospects at Old Trafford have remained unclear for several months. The previous season's primary goalkeeper spent a large portion of pre-season rehabilitation from a hamstring problem. Although he was healthy enough to be included on the substitute bench for the season opener, Ruben Amorim has selected Altay Bayındır as starter in all three of United's Premier League fixtures.
The Turkey national team player has struggled during these outings, though Onana performed no better upon his return to the first team for a Carabao Cup match against fourth-division Grimsby Town. The ex-Inter number one bore responsibility for one of the goals as the determined underdogs ultimately claimed a memorable victory via penalty shootout.
This turbulent goalkeeping beginning to the campaign led Amorim to approve the signing of young Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens on Transfer Deadline Day.

United presently possess four senior keepers, with Lammens joining Onana, Bayındır and experienced choice Tom Heaton. This represents one more than most contemporary squads can manage, leading the Red Devils to investigate the potential of moving one of their goalkeeping options.
Onana could well be the candidate for departure. Fabrizio Romano enthusiastically disclosed that Trabzonspor had reached a preliminary understanding with United to acquire the Cameroon international on loan for the remainder of the season. While both clubs appear content, Onana's position regarding the situation remains unknown. Without his approval of the transfer, he will stay at Old Trafford until at least January.
The transfer period for Turkish teams doesn't conclude until Friday, Sep. 12, providing Onana additional time to evaluate his choices. The 29-year-old has three years left on his substantial United deal which also includes an option for an additional year.
Trabzonspor placed seventh in the previous Turkish league season, failing to secure European competition—though United will also not participate in continental tournaments. The team coached by former Turkey international Fatih Tekke requires a new goalkeeper after transferring their primary keeper Uğurcan Çakır to reigning league winners Galatasaray recently.
Whether Onana accepts those available gloves remains his decision.
