Man Utd Strike Deal for Benjamin Sesko as Dramatic Unveiling Strategy Emerges

Manchester United have secured an agreement with RB Leipzig to successfully complete the signing of striker Benjamin Šeško, according to reports.
Šeško was courted by both United and Newcastle, with representatives from both clubs traveling to Leipzig to negotiate a deal. Despite the Magpies presenting a higher offer, Šeško had already expressed his preference to join the Red Devils.
The Slovenian forward maintained his position during discussions on Thursday, and The Athletic first reported that United and Leipzig have now finalized terms for the transfer.
United have committed to paying €76.5 million (£66.7 million, $89.1 million) upfront, plus an additional €8.5 million (£7.4 million, €9.9 million) in performance-related bonuses, after agreeing to increase the guaranteed portion of the transfer fee to Leipzig.
Leipzig had preferred Newcastle's proposal, which consisted of €82.5 million (£72 million, $96 million) initially with only €2.5 million (£2.2 million, $2.9 million) in add-ons, but Šeško's insistence on joining United eventually led to a settlement with the Manchester outfit.

Šeško, who has been conducting individual training sessions recently, has now received clearance to travel for his medical examination with United. The Slovenian is expected to arrive in Manchester this evening, with his medical assessment and contract formalities scheduled for Friday, Fabrizio Romano confirmed. Following this, plans reportedly include presenting Šeško to the Old Trafford supporters during a preseason match against Fiorentina.
If everything proceeds smoothly, Šeško will represent the third major attacking acquisition for United this summer. Matheus Cunha joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5 million ($83.4 million), followed by Bryan Mbeumo's transfer from Brentford in a deal valued at £71 million ($94.7 million).
Šeško's addition would push United's summer expenditure beyond £200 million ($266.9 million).
United are anticipated to prioritize acquiring a new midfielder following Šeško's completion, though a potential pursuit of Brighton & Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba could prove financially challenging.
