Man Utd Unleash Bold Swap Deal Strategy to Land Premier League Strikers

Manchester United are said to be prepared to include Alejandro Garnacho in potential player exchange agreements to land their primary transfer objectives.

After investing over £130 million ($173.9 million) in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, United continue their pursuit of a traditional striker. Ruben Amorim's team have shown interest in Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and RB Leipzig prospect Benjamin Šeško, though financial constraints persist without player departures.

Lacking the substantial revenue from European competition next season, United's transfer funds are estimated at approximately £100 million ($133.8 million). While player sales are clearly necessary, the possibility of swap arrangements has been highlighted by the Independent.

United have allegedly discussed exchanging Garnacho for Watkins in preliminary talks with Villa. The Argentine winger—who admittedly played within a struggling attack—recorded a Premier League goal or assist every 275 minutes last term. Watkins maintained a superior rate of one every 108 minutes.

Similar negotiations have purportedly been initiated regarding a potential move for Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson.

A significant gap exists in player valuations between Garnacho and Jackson at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea reportedly want £80 million ($107 million) but value Garnacho at just £30 million ($40.1 million).

United already possess two forwards in their squad. Rasmus Højlund appears settled while Joshua Zirkzee expressed indifference about additional attacking reinforcements. "I think it's part of being at this club," the composed Dutchman remarked during United's pre-season U.S. tour.

"To be honest I don't read the news but if another striker were to come I guess it's only good competition so I'm not really worried. Everything is for the team, there's no selfishness here, that's not my mantra. If it were to help the team then great."
