Manchester United Face Fresh Bid for Rasmus Hojlund as Transfer Price Revealed

Napoli have entered the race alongside Inter Milan to secure Manchester United forward Rasmus Højlund, according to recent reports.
Manchester United made a bold investment when they secured the Danish striker for a fee potentially reaching £72 million ($97 million) in 2023, however Højlund has found it challenging to meet expectations with only 26 goals in 95 appearances across all competitions.
As United undergoes an attacking overhaul under manager Ruben Amorim, the club appears willing to consider offers for Højlund, with Inter Milan having expressed their interest earlier during the current transfer window.
Despite this speculation, Højlund has publicly stated his intention to remain at Old Trafford this summer, though La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 22-year-old is considering his alternatives and would welcome a move back to Serie A, following his successful stint with Atalanta during the 2022–23 campaign.

Understanding the striker's preferences, Napoli have now expressed their desire to secure Højlund's services, with the player reportedly eager to collaborate with coach Antonio Conte and join teammates including Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne, alongside former United colleague Scott McTominay.
Napoli's position is strengthened by their financial capability to satisfy United's requirements immediately. The departure of winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain in January for an initial €70 million (£59.9 million, $80.6 million) has provided funds that could be directly allocated toward acquiring Højlund.
Corriere dello Sport reports that United are seeking €45 million (£38.5 million, $51.8 million) for Højlund's transfer and have shown resistance to Inter's proposals for a loan arrangement, preferring a permanent sale instead.
Inter have proposed a loan agreement that would convert to a permanent deal based on Højlund achieving specific performance targets, but United continue to insist on an immediate permanent transfer, potentially giving Napoli an advantage in their pursuit of the Danish striker.
