Manchester United have successfully finalized a transfer agreement to acquire Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, according to confirmed reports.

After unsuccessful attempts with two previous offers—£55 million ($73.8 million) followed by £62.5 million ($83.8 million)—negotiations seemed stalled until United presented a third proposal on Thursday that satisfied Brentford's valuation.

The Athletic reports that both clubs have reached an agreement valued at £65 million ($87.2 million) upfront with additional £6 million ($8.1 million) in add-ons, bringing the complete transfer fee to an impressive £71 million ($95.2 million).

Individual contract terms were allegedly settled with Mbeumo several weeks prior, as the Cameroon striker expressed his desire to join United exclusively this transfer window. Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur had shown previous interest but withdrew once Mbeumo indicated his clear preference.

The Cameroon striker will now undergo medical examinations before becoming the second major signing for Ruben Amorim's team, joining Matheus Cunha in completing transfers to Old Trafford.

United have additionally secured young defender Diego Léon and forward Enzo Kana-Biyik, with the latter being loaned to INEOS-affiliated Lausanne-Sport.

Attention will now shift to player departures, as United continues negotiations to offload Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. The Red Devils aim to recoup most of the expenditure on Cunha and Mbeumo through these potential sales.

From a tactical perspective, Amorim is anticipated to utilize Mbeumo alongside Cunha in support of a main striker, though both players possess the adaptability to lead the attack when required.
