Manchester United Ups the Ante with Enhanced Offer for Premier League Target

Manchester United are intensifying their pursuit of Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo once more.
Following Brentford's rejection of their opening proposal worth up to £55 million ($74.4 million) earlier this month, Manchester United have come back with an enhanced bid, believed to exceed £60 million ($81.1 million), in their attempt to bring the 25-year-old Mbeumo to Old Trafford.
Several Premier League teams have shown interest in Mbeumo, including Tottenham Hotspur among the potential suitors. Nevertheless, Mbeumo is said to prefer joining the Red Devils.
United have been monitoring the Cameroon international's circumstances for quite some time, with his current deal running until 2025–26, though Brentford possess an option to extend it by an additional year.
The Bees have already acknowledged they wouldn't be entirely opposed to parting with Mbeumo, but would only contemplate releasing their 20-goal striker if a substantial proposal materialized. United are hopeful their revised and enhanced offer will satisfy the west London club's expectations.
Mbeumo established one of the Premier League's most formidable attacking combinations last season alongside Yoane Wissa. Should his move to United materialize, expectations will be that he develops a new elite striking partnership with fellow new Red Devil Matheus Cunha.
Following such a dismal 2024–25 campaign where the Amorim era commenced with the club's poorest Premier League performance in history, the Red Devils are actively working in the transfer window to guarantee that 2025–26 yields vastly different results.
