Marcus Rashford Unleashes Brutal Attack on Man United, Delivers Stark Warning to New Boss Ruben Amorim

Marcus Rashford delivered a harsh critique of Manchester United's leadership over the last ten years and cautioned that the "rebuilding process" under Ruben Amorim "has yet to begin."
The academy graduate remains officially a Manchester United player. Rashford will complete the 2025–26 season on loan at Barcelona, who can allegedly activate a reasonable purchase option valued at €30 million (£25.9 million, $35 million), though he hasn't featured for the Red Devils since November.
Rashford was sidelined by Amorim due to apparent training commitment issues, completing the latter portion of last season on loan at Aston Villa before actively seeking his Barcelona transfer.
The devoted Manchester native accumulated 426 matches for United over nearly a decade in the senior squad. Having witnessed the club's Premier League dominance under Sir Alex Ferguson during his youth, neither Rashford nor his United teammates have managed to guide the club toward a serious championship bid since 2013.
"Everyone claims we've been rebuilding for years, but genuine rebuilding requires actually beginning the process," Rashford shared with The Rest Is Football podcast. "The real rebuilding phase hasn't commenced yet.
"When Liverpool experienced this situation, they appointed [Jürgen] Klopp and remained committed to him. Success didn't come immediately. People only recall his later years when he challenged [Manchester] City and captured major silverware.
"Beginning a rebuilding process requires creating a strategy and maintaining it."

Rashford worked under eight separate managers at United, each implementing vastly different tactical approaches. Amorim and his commitment to a three-defender system represent the newest chapter in this progression.
"This highlights the importance of understanding your actual circumstances. We've experienced so many different managers, concepts and approaches to achieve success that we've become lost in the middle," the England striker lamented.
"During Ferguson's tenure, there were established principles not just for the senior team but throughout the entire academy system," Rashford emphasized.
"You could select players from 15 years ago and they would all comprehend the fundamentals of the Manchester United philosophy. Every successful team over an extended period maintains core principles that require any incoming coach or player to adapt to or enhance those foundations.
"Sometimes, United showed ambition to succeed but it was impulsive. When your course constantly shifts, league victory becomes impossible to achieve."
