It's been yet another wild summer of transfer activity, and European clubs still have time to make some last-minute moves.
Deadline Day is upon us, folks. While the closing of the transfer window can sometimes feel like a letdown, there's a feeling that this year could bring some unexpected twists. Drawn-out transfer sagas will finally come to an end, and significant funds will be spent as clubs make their last push to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.

Here's everything you need to know about the closing of the 2026 summer transfer window.
What Time Does 2026 Premier League Summer Transfer Window Close?
Once again, the enormously wealthy Premier League has driven the majority of summer spending across Europe, and that's where most of the Deadline Day action will unfold.
The Premier League window shuts on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 11 p.m. UK (6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT), which is four hours later than last summer's cutoff.
Clubs can submit a transfer deal sheet to secure an extension after the window closes with two hours or fewer remaining, meaning they'll effectively have until 1 a.m. UK (8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT) to wrap up transfers and complete all required paperwork. However, the deal sheet must be filed before the 11 p.m. deadline for the two-hour extension to apply.
Even if a deal sheet has been submitted, any transfers not officially registered by the extended cutoff cannot be processed.
When Does 2026 Summer Transfer Window Close Across Europe?
The English Football League (EFL) also has an 11 p.m. UK (6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT) deadline on Tuesday, while the Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 transfer windows close slightly earlier at 8 p.m. UK (3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT).
Once again, La Liga is taking a slightly different approach, with their transfer window closing at 11:59 p.m. UK (6:59 p.m. ET / 3:59 p.m. PT). That gives a little extra time for Julián Alvarez to potentially secure the move he's been chasing all summer. Barcelona, however, appear to have shifted their focus toward Gabriel Jesus.
The Saudi Pro League (SPL) continues to be an appealing destination for a wide range of players, not just aging veterans and former stars. There's potential for some late recruitment after Europe's transfer deadlines pass, as the SPL window remains open until Oct. 12.
Major League Soccer's (MLS) secondary transfer window closes on Wednesday, Sept. 2. A late wave of big-name arrivals from across the Atlantic seems unlikely, but MLS will be satisfied with its summer business. Robert Lewandowski, Antoine Griezmann, and Casemiro are among the notable names now playing in the United States.
