It remains to be seen whether the Bernabéu faithful will greet the team with open arms, or whether a frosty atmosphere awaits.
Champions League: League Phase Begins—Sep 8–10, 2026
The league phase of the revamped Champions League format runs from September 2026 through January 2027, with Real Madrid scheduled to compete in eight fixtures in total.

The reverse Madrid derby at the Bernabéu is pencilled in for the opening week of April, likely sandwiched between the Champions League quarterfinal legs.
The timing is far from ideal, but Real Madrid will take some comfort in having home advantage during such a congested stretch of fixtures.
