Matheus Cunha Opens Up About the Intense Pressure of His Man Utd Move

Fresh Manchester United acquisition Matheus Cunha is welcoming the expectations that accompany securing a costly move to Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim targeted Cunha from the beginning of the summer window, and United acted swiftly to activate his £62.5 million ($84 million) buyout clause, making him their inaugural signing of the transfer period.
Cunha understands the media attention such a transfer brings, but the Brazilian striker informed journalists that he anticipates the additional expectations.
"I genuinely believe the expectations at this club aren't truly pressure," Cunha explained. "It's an honor because this represents one of the most prestigious clubs globally.
"When Ruben approached me and presented the vision, I recognized it as a challenge I wanted to pursue in my career. United is a club I had to join, and as I mentioned, it's a tremendous honor."

Cunha also seized the moment to emphasize his eagerness to represent United, having chosen them over multiple other proposals this summer.
"It's my ideal club," the adaptable attacker added. "That's the key point, you understand. It's my ideal club. During my initial discussion with Ruben, I sensed they were beginning to construct something truly significant. And naturally, I want to contribute to this."
Cunha has subsequently been accompanied at Old Trafford by Bryan Mbeumo, with United's attention now shifting to departures. Marcus Rashford has finalized a loan transfer to Barcelona, but players like Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia remain on the market, though Amorim has openly stated he would gladly continue working with these four if suitable offers don't materialize.
