Mbappe Fires Back at Bernabeu Critics: "I Didn't Like It" - Star Defends Himself and Vinicius Jr
Kylian Mbappé has acknowledged his comprehension of Real Madrid supporters' frustrations leading to their booing, yet he maintains that these vocal detractors are mistaken in singling out individual players.
Discontent at the Bernabéu has persisted throughout the campaign, with tensions escalating following the Super Cup loss to Barcelona and manager Xabi Alonso's exit. The 2–0 victory against Levante unfolded amid relentless jeers from the crowd.
Players facing especially harsh criticism from supporters included Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Dean Huijsen, all deemed to have underperformed relative to expectations this term.
"The booing ... I believe I comprehend it," Mbappé acknowledged. "I grasp it.
"Prior to becoming a professional footballer, I was simply a young person, and during moments of dissatisfaction, I would criticize players negatively, and had I been present at matches, I would have booed too. I comprehend their reaction because our performance has been inadequate.
"What troubled me was that ... if supporters choose to boo, it should encompass the entire team. Individual players shouldn't be targeted. Our poor performance is collective, and we possess the determination to rectify this situation on the field. I don't perceive Real Madrid fans as opposing us. They're frustrated, and I'm confident they'll return to supporting us."

Mbappé, who also provided a spirited defense of Alonso, represents one of the rare players who has escaped severe criticism this season at Madrid. The French striker has netted 30 goals across 26 appearances, while Vinicius trails significantly with just six strikes.
Vinicius's disappointing performances, combined with his contract situation, have made him a target for numerous Madrid supporters, though Mbappé firmly believes the Brazilian's treatment has been unjustified.
"Certainly, this isn't Vini's responsibility," he stated. "The entire squad bears responsibility. That's my message to the supporters.
"Allow them to express displeasure toward the complete team. We must accept this reality as part of our profession. We understand this. However, we cannot isolate certain individuals and assign blame to them. Everyone shares responsibility. At Real Madrid, such periods occur, and we must transform this situation.
"Vini, like all of us, is human. He's an exceptional talent. He's a remarkable person, I'm fortunate to know him personally and hold great affection for him. We must provide better protection so he doesn't face criticism alone. He isn't isolated at Real Madrid. We stand united with him. When performing at his peak, he ranks among the world's finest."
Regarding Bellingham, who has similarly endured personal criticism from fans, Mbappé stated: "Nobody questions Bellingham's abilities.
"His potential is immense. When healthy, he's among the global elite. This situation is challenging for everyone. We can accept supporter dissatisfaction. However, their displeasure should target everyone collectively, not focus on Jude's mistakes or any single player specifically.
"Our responsibility is transforming this situation. We secured a league victory and must now maintain momentum in the Champions League. When supporters witness our commitment and improved play, they'll rally behind us again."
