Meet Every Nation That Has Punched Their Ticket to the 2026 World Cup Quarterfinals

The pressure is immense in the World Cup round of 16, with only eight teams able to punch their tickets to the quarterfinals.

Notable exits have already occurred—Germany and Croatia being among the casualties—while the remaining contenders are beginning to envision their moment on the grand stage at MetLife Stadium on July 19. Even so, there remains a considerable journey ahead.

Here's a look at every team that has secured a place in the 2026 World Cup quarterfinals so far.

Every Team to Have Qualified for 2026 World Cup Quarterfinals

Achraf Hakimi

Morocco became the first nation to claim a spot in the last eight, cruising to a 3–0 win over Canada courtesy of a brace from Azzedine Ounahi and a late clincher from Soufiane Rahimi. The Atlas Lions were far from their sharpest in the opening half on Saturday, but they shifted gears after the break and thoroughly dominated Jesse Marsch's side.

The squad's key players rose to the occasion when it counted, with Achraf Hakimi providing the assist for the opener and Brahim Díaz teeing up the following two goals. When the final whistle blew, Morocco celebrated wildly, though there was also a collective exhale after a tense and frustrating first 45 minutes.
