Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi has urged Major League Soccer to ease its financial restrictions to promote broader development throughout the league.

Leading league executives, including commissioner Don Garber, have openly endorsed MLS' monetary guidelines, yet Messi contends the league can only achieve its full capabilities if these financial constraints are reduced.
