Liga MX has unveiled the 28-man squad set to travel to the United States for the All-Star game on July 29, where they will face an MLS side packed with high-profile talent.
The squad is highlighted by six Mexican internationals who represented El Tri during the country's impressive 2026 World Cup run, among them teenage star Gilberto Mora, who may be playing his last season with Tijuana in Liga MX.
Three-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Keylor Navas, leads the roster following an outstanding season with Pumas. The experienced goalkeeper turned back time with a remarkable campaign as Pumas came agonizingly close to snapping a 15-year Liga MX title drought, only to fall in the Clausura 2026 final to Cruz Azul.
Chivas, who entered last season as title favorites before losing key players to Javier Aguirre's World Cup squad, top all clubs with six representatives in the All-Star roster. Five Toluca players are also included, along with head coach Antonio Mohamed, who recently claimed the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.
This will mark the fifth meeting between Liga MX and MLS All-Stars, with MLS having claimed victory in three of the previous four encounters. While MLS boasts an impressive pool of talent, Liga MX brings an equally formidable lineup eager to secure a win at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
How Mexico's 2026 All-Star Roster Was Selected
The complete Liga MX All-Star roster will feature 28 of the finest players in Mexican soccer. As of now, however, only 26 names have been revealed.
The opening 12 spots on the roster belong to players nominated for 2026 Liga MX Ballon d'Or honors. The awards ceremony is scheduled for July 25, where standout players and coaches from both the Liga MX Apertura 2025 and Clausura 2026 seasons will be celebrated.
The following 14 players were handpicked by Mohamed, who will serve as manager of the 2026 Liga MX All-Stars — a selection that may hint at his anticipated win in the Best Manager category at the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
The identity of the final two players to round out the roster has yet to be confirmed, but Liga MX commissioner Mikel Arriola will be responsible for selecting those last two representatives in the days ahead.
