Michael Carrick Fires Back at Man Utd Legend in Heated Lisandro Martinez Debate

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has dismissed any doubts over the dedication of embattled defender Lisandro Martínez, who recently found himself at the center of a scathing attack from former Red Devils midfielder Nicky Butt.

Martínez is set to meet with club executives in the near future to discuss several matters following a turbulent period for the Argentine. His outburst directed at technical director Jason Wilcox was compounded by an unnecessary red card during the 2–0 loss to Chelsea, prompting numerous supporters to demand his immediate removal from the squad.

Amid speculation that Martínez, whose deal runs out at the end of the campaign but carries a one-year extension clause, has already made up his mind to depart Old Trafford and is no longer fully invested in the club, Carrick maintained that no such issues exist within the United dressing room.

"I have absolutely no worries about his commitment," the United manager emphasized. "These things happen in football from time to time. You act in certain ways, sometimes you make choices, sometimes you make errors, and sometimes things work out in your favor. But commitment is definitely not the issue here.
