Mikel Arteta Reveals Arsenal Are "Actively Hunting" for New Signings in Thrilling Transfer Bombshell

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta employed his typical vague approach when acknowledging that the Gunners are "actively pursuing" additional signings while also preparing to move on "several" current squad members.
Following three consecutive Premier League runner-up finishes, Arteta has orchestrated a comprehensive squad transformation this summer. Arsenal trail only Liverpool and Chelsea in transfer expenditure so far.
Viktor Gyökeres represents the headline signing while Martin Zubimendi commanded the highest fee, though Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Nørgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have also joined for a combined £192.6 million ($259 million). Arsenal have exceeded this spending figure in just one previous summer window.
Despite this, the pursuit of additional arrivals—and departures—evidently continues.

After a comfortable 3–0 victory over Athletic Club in Arsenal's pre-season finale, Arteta faced questions regarding potential additional investment. "We'll assess the squad situation over the coming weeks, but we're actively exploring possibilities," the Spanish manager revealed. "Several players need to depart too, so we remain open to developments."
Arsenal have been most strongly connected with Crystal Palace creator Eberechi Eze. Arteta's team have allegedly missed their chance to activate his contract's release clause, believed to be approximately £67.5 million, though interest in the England star reportedly persists.
Palace manager Oliver Glasner cannot provide guarantees regarding Eze's future, which might alternatively point toward north London rivals given Tottenham Hotspur's rumored pursuit.
The left-wing position Eze would potentially occupy could become available through departures of either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian was cautiously linked with Bayern Munich before Luis Díaz's arrival, while Trossard attracts diverse interest from Europe and Saudi Arabia. Arsenal would allegedly seek approximately £20 million for the 30-year-old. Martinelli would undoubtedly cost significantly more.
