Mohamed Salah Explodes: "I've Been Thrown Under The Bus" in Shocking Attack on Liverpool Boss Arne Slot
Mohamed Salah expressed his anger after being excluded from Liverpool's starting eleven against Leeds United, delivering a scathing critique of both head coach Arne Slot and the organization, casting significant uncertainty over his time at the club.
The Liverpool striker was omitted for the third consecutive match and stayed on the substitutes' bench throughout the entire game, even as the Reds desperately sought a decisive goal in their thrilling 3-3 stalemate at Elland Road.
Following the encounter, the Egyptian star unleashed his fury to the media, alleging the organization "has abandoned me completely", that his bond with Slot has deteriorated, and that commitments made during the summer transfer window have been violated.
"I'm extremely, extremely frustrated to be honest," Salah stated. "I have contributed tremendously to this organization over the years and particularly during the previous campaign. Now I'm relegated to the bench and I'm completely puzzled.
"It appears as though the organization has abandoned me completely. That's exactly how I'm experiencing this. I believe it's quite obvious that somebody wanted me to shoulder all the responsibility. I received numerous commitments during the summer and thus far I've been benched for three matches, so I cannot claim they honored their word.
"I'm baffled as to why this is occurring to me. I'm completely lost. I believe if this happened elsewhere, any organization would shield its athlete. How I perceive it currently is like you abandon [me] completely because he's considered the issue within the squad now.
"However, I don't believe I'm the issue. I have contributed tremendously to this organization. The recognition I deserve to receive. I shouldn't have to constantly battle for my spot because I've earned it. I'm not superior to anyone, but I've earned my place."
Salah Confirms He No Longer Maintains Connection With Arne Slot

Salah's harsh criticism then focused on the individual who has demoted him to a backup role in recent Liverpool fixtures: Head coach Slot.
"I've mentioned repeatedly that I maintained a positive connection with the head coach and suddenly, we have no connection whatsoever. I'm uncertain why, but it appears to me, from my perspective, that somebody doesn't desire my presence at the organization."
After equaling the record for most goal involvements in a Premier League campaign as Liverpool claimed the English title in Slot's inaugural season as manager, Salah and the Dutch tactician now appear to be in conflict.
The current Premier League player of the campaign expressed his dissatisfaction clearly, before disclosing that next weekend's encounter against Brighton might represent a pivotal moment in his professional journey.
Salah Suggests Possible Final Match at Anfield

Salah disclosed he was already aware he wouldn't be starting against Leeds United, leading to a telephone call with his mother with one particular purpose.
"I contacted my mother yesterday [and] I told her, 'attend the Brighton match'. I'm uncertain if I'll participate or not but I'm going to savor it.
"In my mind, I'm going to savor that match because I'm uncertain what will transpire. I'll be at Anfield to bid farewell to the supporters and depart for the Africa Cup, because I'm uncertain what's going to occur when I'm there [at AFCON]."
This disclosure led to Salah being questioned if he thought the upcoming Dec. 13 match against Brighton would be his final appearance for Liverpool, to which the striker responded, "In football you're never certain. I don't accept this circumstances. I have contributed tremendously to this organization."
Salah agreed to a new two-year deal in April that commits him to the organization until summer 2027. Nevertheless, Salah's statements seem to suggest the possibility of a departure, with speculation indicating the Saudi Pro League might be a possible destination.
"I believed I would extend my contract here and conclude my career here, but this isn't following the plan. I'm certainly not regretting joining this organization."
It's evident Salah's circumstances at Liverpool have reached a critical juncture and his future remains highly uncertain. The situation will continue to develop in the upcoming days, but for now, Salah also ensured to express his affection for Liverpool clearly.
"This organization, I will always support it. My children will always support it. I adore this organization tremendously, I always will."
