Mohamed Salah Sidelined: The Real Reason Liverpool's Star Forward Misses Brighton Clash
Liverpool maintain their pursuit of Champions League qualification this Saturday with a challenging away fixture at Brighton & Hove Albion, their task made more difficult by Mohamed Salah's absence.
The Egyptian star has seldom been missing for Liverpool during what has been a demanding season for both the club and the experienced player, but Arne Slot announced on Friday that Salah would not travel to the south coast.
Salah's exclusion from the starting eleven at the Amex Stadium came as no shock, but what has caused Liverpool's iconic winger to miss this crucial encounter against the Seagulls?
Why Mohamed Salah Is Unavailable for Brighton vs. Liverpool

Salah experienced a memorable midweek performance as Liverpool scored four goals without reply against Galatasaray to secure their place in the Champions League quarterfinals. After missing a significant opportunity and failing to convert a penalty in the opening half, he went on to provide an excellent assist and score a beautiful goal after halftime to aid the Reds' advancement.
Nevertheless, with quarter of an hour remaining under the Anfield lights, Salah indicated to the dugout that he required substitution—raising concerns given the striker's remarkable resilience and dislike of early withdrawals.
Slot acknowledged during Friday's pre-match media briefing that Salah's substitution request followed an injury he sustained, though the Dutch manager did not provide specific details about the problem.
"Indeed, [it's] unusual. As a result of that I think you can expect the outcome. So, [he's] not available for tomorrow," the Liverpool manager informed reporters.
When Will Salah Return for Liverpool?

When providing additional information about Salah's injury, Slot disclosed that the 33-year-old would also be absent from the forthcoming international break with Egypt due to his condition.
"The positive aspect for Liverpool and for us is that we enter an international break [after Brighton]. The unfortunate part for Egypt is that he cannot join them," stated the Dutchman.
"We are optimistic also with what Mo has demonstrated previously that he can recuperate quicker than other players might in comparable circumstances because he maintains such excellent physical condition. Past experience has shown that he can return sooner than some others.
"But it's only two weeks when we play again so let's hope during that timeframe he can be back."
Liverpool resume after the international break when they travel to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarterfinal, followed shortly by the opening leg of their Champions League last-eight match with Paris Saint-Germain in France. Slot will be eager to have Salah ready for two such important fixtures.
