Mohamed Salah's time at Liverpool has been officially confirmed to be drawing to a close—though his next destination is unlikely to be Serie A powerhouse Juventus, according to sporting director Marco Ottolini.
Salah is set to depart Anfield as a free agent this summer, despite having one year left on his deal. Speculation has pointed toward a return to Serie A—with former club Roma among those mentioned—and there have been suggestions that Juventus have reached out to Salah's camp.
However, as is often the case in transfer sagas, there are conflicting accounts. On this occasion, Ottolini told 365scores: "The reports circulating about negotiations to bring Mohamed Salah to Juventus are simply not accurate. Right now, there is nothing to it."
So if Juventus are out of the picture, where might Salah end up?
Salah's Likely Options Post-Liverpool Departure

Ottolini was clear that no dialogue currently exists between Juventus and Salah. Importantly, though, that doesn't rule out future contact entirely.
Landing a player of Salah's caliber on a free transfer is precisely the kind of move that earned Juve a reputation as shrewd operators in the market, having previously secured top talents such as Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Kingsley Coman, Sami Khedira, Emre Can, and Adrien Rabiot without spending a fee.
Unfortunately for Juve, their dominance at the top of Serie A has long since faded. While the club still carries significant prestige in Italy, the truth is they have struggled to challenge for the title for a number of seasons and may no longer be an attractive proposition for elite players like Salah.
The most credible links surrounding Salah point toward Saudi Arabia. The Pro League has openly pursued Salah for several seasons, coming tantalizingly close last year before Liverpool managed to secure him on a new contract.
Now free to pursue him without restriction, clubs such as Al Hilal and Al Qadsiah are anticipated to table offers featuring wages that would be impossible to match should he opt to stay in Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as unexpected admirers, even as their recruitment strategy has shifted toward younger, developing talent rather than established stars. Rumors of interest from an increasingly ambitious Galatasaray side in Türkiye have also surfaced.
Salah is also expected to attract interest from Major League Soccer, though a move to the United States is not said to be on his radar at this point.
Salah's representative has publicly stated that the winger has yet to determine where he will play next, with formal offers expected to come in at the end of the season once he can shift his attention away from Liverpool's push to secure Champions League qualification.
