Myles Lewis-Skelly has made it crystal clear that he has no intention of departing Arsenal despite reported Premier League interest, yet the club's top brass have ominously admitted that the "right opportunity" for a transfer would be given serious thought.
Having broken into the first team at left back two seasons ago, Lewis-Skelly appeared destined to represent England at the World Cup. Hailed as an "amazing" prospect by Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel, Lewis-Skelly then endured a subdued 2025–26 campaign that ultimately saw him miss out on the German's squad for North America.
The youngster was brought back into the fold toward the end of the season, impressing as Arsenal secured their first Premier League title in 22 years and came agonizingly close to lifting the Champions League trophy for the very first time.
And despite speculation that his career stands at an early fork in the road, Lewis-Skelly further showcased his exceptional ability in Sunday's 3–0 Community Shield triumph over Manchester City. Operating in midfield alongside new signing Bruno Guimarães, the Hale End product set up Riccardo Calafiori's early goal with a sharp through ball.

The Hale End graduate, who has been with the club since the age of 8, left no doubt about his loyalty after netting in a preseason fixture against Como, insisting that his heart remains firmly in north London.
"Personally, I feel ready," Lewis-Skelly said on Arsenal's Live X broadcast on Tuesday. "We've got an amazing squad. And I feel like, as a team, there are more things in the air at the moment. We all have the same common goal.
"You know what we want from the season, and I feel like everyone's kind of buying into that again. So yeah, we're ready, we're excited."

However, comments from Arsenal's leadership have done little to ease the concerns of fans desperate to hold onto their academy gem. Chief executive Richard Garlick, for instance, has stated that while the club is not actively looking to offload the likes of Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, they would "consider" the "right opportunity" if it arose.
"I think it's just a case of looking at what opportunities there are that will help both of those in terms of their career moving forward," he told BBC Sport's Dan Roan. "We are not actively looking at selling those homegrown players, but if the right opportunity came up—right for them and the club—we'd obviously consider that."
Nwaneri, who was left out of Sunday's Community Shield squad, has drawn attention from the likes of AC Milan, Galatasaray and a number of Premier League sides.

Clubs interested in acquiring the 19-year-old will no doubt take heart from Garlick's remarks. Reports suggest Arsenal could entertain bids in the vicinity of $61 million, with the club potentially swayed by the fact that selling a homegrown player can be recorded as 'pure profit' in their financial books.
Manchester United and Chelsea have emerged as the two clubs most captivated by the prospect of signing Lewis-Skelly.
United, who have also been linked with Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba, are in the market for a left back, and Lewis-Skelly's versatile skill set holds considerable appeal.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are eyeing a market opening. They have brought in Pep Chavarría from Rayo Vallecano as cover for Marc Cucurella, but could require an Enzo Fernández replacement should the Argentine complete a move to Man City.
