Newcastle's Top Target Delivers Stunning Public Appeal as Alexander Isak Transfer Drama Reaches Breaking Point

In an unusual display of candid transparency, Brentford's discontented forward Yoane Wissa published an extensive statement detailing his disappointments following a summer filled with unfulfilled commitments and turned-down proposals from Newcastle United.
Similar to Alexander Isak, Wissa utilized social media platforms to criticize his current club for blocking a transfer that was allegedly already finalized. Brentford's record Premier League goalscorer has attracted numerous offers from Newcastle as the Magpies seek to strengthen their attack before Isak's anticipated switch to Liverpool.
Eddie Howe's team recently had their latest proposal of £35 million ($47.3 million) upfront plus £5 million in challenging performance bonuses turned down by Brentford. The Bees are reportedly seeking £60 million for their star player.
Throughout the summer period, Wissa has avoided training sessions and removed all Brentford-related content from his social media profiles. On Sunday morning, with under 48 hours left in the transfer window, the 28-year-old publicly aired his grievances. "I feel obligated to clarify that I wish to depart from Brentford. I believe the club is unreasonably blocking my path despite numerous reasonable proposals during the summer," he posted on Instagram.

"At the beginning of this summer, I engaged in frank discussions with the club's top management, including important directors and the new head coach. I expressed my desire to pursue a fresh opportunity.
"Throughout these meetings, it was assured to me and my agents that the club would not obstruct my departure if an acceptable proposal arrived. This commitment was also documented. With this understanding, I began searching for a new team, maintaining complete openness with Brentford throughout the process.
"I obtained a concrete proposal from another Premier League team and expressed my desire to join them. I believed, based on all my discussions with Brentford, that there was shared agreement for our separation.
"However, as the window nears its close, the club has dramatically altered its stance, contradicting previous communications. This has placed me in a challenging and exasperating situation. The assurance that I could depart this summer has not been honored."
Newcastle announced the signing of Nick Woltemade for a club-record £69 million on Saturday, though reports from Tyneside suggest that Isak will only be permitted to join Liverpool if the Magpies acquire two new forwards, one to replace the Swede and another as Callum Wilson's successor. Wissa remains determined to move to St James' Park.
"Being forced to remain beyond this summer will only damage four magnificent years at this remarkable club," Wissa concluded, "and therefore I request Brentford's ownership and directors to now fulfill their commitment to allow my departure in the window's final hours."
Liverpool will undoubtedly support Wissa's resolute position.
