For the second year running, defending French and European champions Paris Saint-Germain claimed the Men's Club of the Year honor at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony.
The Parisian club were among the few certainties of the evening after delivering an extraordinary 2025–26 season. Luis Enrique's squad lifted an impressive five trophies throughout the campaign, including the most coveted prize in club football.
PSG became only the second club in the modern era to successfully defend their Champions League crown; they overcame Arsenal in the final at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, claiming victory via a 4–3 penalty shootout.
By that point, Ousmane Dembélé and his teammates had already secured the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, the Trophée des Champions and Ligue 1. None of those triumphs, however, matched the sheer joy of hoisting the club's second-ever Champions League trophy.
It came as little surprise that PSG received a nomination for the 2026 Men's Club of the Year. Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Bodø/Glimt and Flamengo were also shortlisted, but the outcome was never really in doubt.

The award was first presented at the 2021 Ballon d'Or ceremony. It takes into account not only on-pitch performances, but also trophies collected, standout moments, overachievements and fair play conduct.
Chelsea claimed the inaugural honor following their Champions League triumph under Thomas Tuchel. Premier League counterparts Manchester City seized the accolade the next year, becoming the first and only side to win the award without having won the Champions League.
The Citizens made amends by conquering Europe's top club competition in 2022–23, completing a landmark treble that also encompassed the Premier League title and the FA Cup.
Real Madrid were the next side to etch their name in history by winning a record-extending 15th Champions League title, along with La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup. Yet not a single club representative was present in Paris to accept the award, as Los Blancos boycotted the ceremony in support of Vinícius Júnior, whom they felt deserved the Ballon d'Or over Rodri.
There was considerably less drama in 2025 when PSG added the accolade to their collection after winning their maiden Champions League title, Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Trophée des Champions. The club then returned to the stage a year later to successfully defend the honor.
