Pedri Reveals His Dream Signing: The World Class Star Barcelona Must Target
Barcelona already possess one of the most formidable midfields globally, yet according to Pedri, the single player he would most desire for Barça to acquire is Bayern Munich's creative midfielder Jamal Musiala.
During a casual conversation with xBuyer, the midfield virtuoso was questioned about which elite player he would want to see join Hansi Flick's squad. Pedri responded immediately.
"A player that I truly admire is Musiala," Pedri stated. "I adore him. Currently he's sidelined with injury, but he will return. He's exceptional."
Musiala and Pedri have emerged as world-class talents almost in parallel. Indeed, when Pedri claimed the Kopa Trophy in 2021, the German sensation placed third in the rankings.
While Musiala has not yet appeared in the 2025–26 campaign due to a severe injury sustained during Bayern Munich's participation in the 2025 Club World Cup, he is universally regarded as among the finest young prospects globally.
These two 22-year-old stars are set to dominate European football for many seasons ahead. However, currently, Pedri's dream of seeing Musiala wearing the Blaugrana colors appears highly improbable.
Pedri Names the La Masia Prospect Who Has Impressed Him Most

Barcelona's ongoing financial struggles have limited their transfer market activities, making a pursuit of Musiala—along with other elite players—virtually impossible. However, the club's academy system, La Masia, continues to provide the senior squad with promising young prospects. In Pedri's view, Dro Fernández emerges as the standout talent.
"The player I admire most is Dro," Pedri commented when selecting from the emerging generation of La Masia graduates.
"He's truly exceptional, possessing tremendous ability. He makes every action look simple and natural. He's outstanding, and he was born in 2008."
The 17-year-old Dro caught Hansi Flick's attention during Barcelona's 2025–26 preseason campaign, appearing completely comfortable with the step up to senior football.
The elegant attacking midfielder has subsequently featured in three matches for Barça this term and even recorded an assist on his Champions League bow during a commanding 5–1 triumph over Olympiacos.
Dro aims to secure his place in Barcelona's senior setup. It seems highly probable that whenever he receives chances to shine, Pedri will be alongside him orchestrating play in the Blaugrana's midfield.
