Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted it would be "nearly impossible" to overtake Arsenal at the summit of the Premier League standings.
Going into Saturday's Premier League fixtures, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal maintain a six-point advantage over City, who sit one point clear of title holders Liverpool, with the Gunners consistently delivering strong performances while their rivals struggle for consistency.

All we can do is secure victories in our fixtures and stay within striking distance.
"They must visit our ground, and there are numerous developments throughout the campaign that we will encounter.
"It's remarkable what they have achieved over the past two or three campaigns. It appears that each time we get closer.
"However, we are in early November, and in early November no one claims the championship. You can lose it, but no one secures the title."
Arteta Dismisses Premier League Favourites Label
Following their outstanding start to the campaign, Arteta was told on Friday that the sole team capable of derailing Arsenal's championship bid is Arsenal themselves.
The manager showed no interest in acknowledging such claims, emphasizing clearly that teams like City and Liverpool possess too much quality to dismiss at this early point in the season, despite Arsenal creating some distance.
In fact, City and Liverpool remain the only two clubs to have claimed points against Arsenal this season—Newcastle United are the sole other team to have found the net against the Gunners.
Arsenal will aim to have increased their advantage over at least one of their main competitors, who clash in Sunday's concluding match, before the gameweek ends.
