Premier League CEO Breaks Silence as Man City Discovers Shocking New Timeline for 115 Charges Battle

A decision regarding the financial allegations against Manchester City might not be reached until October at the earliest, according to a recent report.
City faced 115 charges for substantial financial violations from the Premier League in 2023, relating to activities from 2009 to 2018, with supporters and competitors anxiously waiting for a judgment that could fundamentally impact English football.
The proceedings wrapped up in early December, but no additional information has surfaced, and The Independent indicates the matter could extend until October.
There are indications that a decision might surface during an international break later this year, similar to City's Associated Party Transaction dispute in October 2024.

When the verdict does surface, the consequences are very unlikely to be immediate, as the losing party will probably file an appeal, extending the timeline by several additional months.
Following this disclosure, Premier League CEO Richard Masters was questioned for an update during Sky Sports' Summer Series broadcast. As expected, Masters maintained his position that the case's confidential nature prevents him from sharing details.
"You may inquire, but regrettably, as you're aware, our regulations are explicit," he stated. "It's a private procedure, so I cannot provide any details regarding timing or similar matters. There's nothing further I can contribute."
City persistently maintain their innocence regarding the charges, but if found guilty, Pep Guardiola's team could encounter severe penalties. Division expulsion, though, is not anticipated since it would require a majority decision from other Premier League teams.
